PASIFIC Call 1 Results

The winners of the first Call of the PASIFIC Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme have just been selected. 35 laureates from 15 countries will conduct their research in the Polish Academy of Sciences. Their projects cover 17 disciplines from all three panels – Physical Sciences and Engineering (15 Fellowships), Life Sciences (10), and Social Sciences and Humanities (10). PASIFIC CALL 1 Terms and Conditions

In the event of discrepancies between the Polish and the English version of the PASIFIC Call 1 Terms and Conditions, the provisions in the Polish version, which was signed by Prof. Jerzy Duszyński, the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, shall apply.

The PASIFIC Call 1 Terms and Conditions is a binding legal document containing all rules applicable in the PASIFIC Programme. It regulates the rules for submitting applications, the evaluation process, and the research stay, as well as budgetary issues and responsibilities of Host Institutes and Supervisors. 

Changes in the PASIFIC Call 1 documents

The second amendment of “PASIFIC call 1 Terms and Conditions” is introduced to adjust the dates of transfer of funds for implementation of Fellowships to Host Institutes to the date of transfer of funds from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to the Polish Academy of Sciences.

In order to avoid incoherencies and facilitate the application process, the following amendments were introduced to the PASIFIC Call 1 documents: 

  • the proposal ID in the SEA system does not have to be inserted in the Letter of Support from the Host Institute and the Letter of Support from the Institute Supporting the Host Institute; 
  • the maximum amount of indirect costs has been updated to EUR 33 240 instead of EUR 33 000 and, accordingly, the maximum amount to be spent by the Host Institute in agreement with the applicant was reduced to EUR 6648; 
  • documents such as a child’s birth certificate or a document confirming a formal relationship does not have to be enclosed in the proposal in the “Other attachments” section.
