After INNOVATORIUM ŁUKASIEWICZA’23 event

The largest event dedicated to R&D in Poland – Innovatorium Łukasiewicza – has taken place on June 20-21, 2023 in Poznań Congress Center.

It was the third edition of the event, which is designed as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and discussion between entrepreneurs and scientists. One of its main goals is to build teams capable of reaching multi-million research projects financed from European funds, including Horizon Europe.

Speeches, discussions and roundtables focused on the research and development potential of science and business. The main topic was the financing of innovation and the model for conducting R&D activities, as well as microelectronics, transport (especially the development of railways), new energy technologies and the green transformation.

This year’s Innovatorium consisted of four scenes (Sala Ziemi – Earth Hall,  Arena Prezentacji – Presentation Arena, Demo Day Scene, Scena Innowacji – Innovation Scene) with discussions on the most important issues related to the development of companies an presentations of innovations created by scientists for business.

Healthcare Innovations Panel – discussion with PASIFIC and Lukasiewicz researchers

One of the presentations on Scena Innowacji (Innovation Scene) was “Healthcare Innovations Panel – discussion with PASIFIC and Łukasiewicz researchers”, co-organized by Polish Academy of Sciences.

The PASIFIC fellows participating in the discussion were: Ewa Poniecka  (Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, PAS), Mariia Dekaliuk (Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, PAS), Rugmani Meenambal, (Maj Institute of Pharmacology, PAS), Vineeta Kaushik (Institute of Physical Chemistry, PAS) and Mitrajit Ghosh (Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, PAS).

Together with Katarzyna Marzec (Łukasiewicz – KIT), Michał Malewicz (Łukasiewicz – PORT) and moderator Adam Dawidziuk (Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz) they discussed the latest research trends in healthcare innovations.

All participants tried to outline the potential differences and similarities between basic and applied research, which differ in the technological level of TRL. They also discussed the view on innovation/research in the field of health, depending on the expected final outcome of the research.

Apart from the discussion panel, it was a very nice day together with PASIFIC Fellows who also come to visit Innovatorium Lukasiewicza. Thank you to all who attended the event and made it memorable and successful.
