CETEF’24

The 4th Central European Technology Forum in Krakow is over. Two active CETEF days focused on key technological advances and their role in driving Europe’s energy transition and innovation in high-tech industries. The Polish Academy of Science and the PASIFIC Programme were the partners of the event. The PASIFIC fellows and team were actively involved!

On Monday, 18th November, the second edition of the Young Scientists Day, an accompanying event of CETEF’24, was officially opened by Prof. Paweł Rowiński, President of All European Academies (ALLEA) and Coordinator of the PASIFIC Programme. The PASIFIC fellows were invited to take part in two panel discussions. Dr Rugmani Meenambal spoke about integrating artificial intelligence tools into scientific research. Dr Maciej Bartosiewicz presented his views on career paths from academia to industry for young researchers.

On Tuesday, 19th November, the PASIFIC fellows attended three out of the seven thematic conferences that took place in parallel. Dr Shumaila Razzaque gave a presentation in the Innovative Decarbonization Technologies section of the Innovative Energy Transition Technologies Conference. Dr Mariia Dekaliuk presented her research results in the Great Science of the Future session of the Innovations in Biotechnologies Conference. Dr Monika Hejna chaired a panel discussion on animal breeding at the New Horizons for Agri-Food technologies Conference.

In addition, three PASIFIC fellows – dr Rugmani Meenembal, dr Monika Hejna and dr Olha Tikhonova – presented their posters at the Exhibition of Technological Solutions.
