What are the disturbances that current forest management and harvesting techniques entail in European beech forests?
Investigating the disturbances which occur at various levels of forest management, proposing the best management practices to limit such disorders.
Francesco Latterini began his research in the field of Forestry at Tuscia University in Italy, where he received his Master’s degree with honors. He continued his research activity at Tuscia University for several years focusing on sustainable forest operations and reduced-impact logging. He has been involved in 5 national and 6 international research projects. Till now he is co-author of 55 scientific papers indexed on Web of Sciences and co- supervisor of 31 Master's thesis. For the last 3 years he has worked for the Italian Council for Research in Agriculture (CREA). Presently he is finalizing his PhD studies in the field of environmental engineering applied to the forestry sector.
