PASIFIC Networking Meeting in Warsaw

Following the success of the first event in June 2022, the second of our PASIFIC networking events took place in Warsaw on 12 December 2022. PASIFIC fellows, their partners, and children, as well as members of the PASIFIC team were all part of this fantastic one-day event.

Knowing the city

The event was opened by the Project Manager of the PASIFIC Programme Bogna Hryniszyn, accompanied by other members of the PASIFIC Team. After a lunch at the Bazyliszek Restaurant, participants took part in a city game during which they learned more about the history of Warsaw’s Old Town as well as explored its attractions – the known and the hidden ones.

Upon arriving to tea and coffee at the Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute of History, they were greeted by the staff who gave them a tour of the building. Guided walks around the Old Town and Krakowskie Przedmieście were also arranged in between sessions.

Artistic performacne

In the evening, Fellows, their families as well PASIFIC team members all gathered in the Staszic Palace to watch an artistic performance prepared by members of the folk group “Mazowsze”. As the evening wound down, participants sat down for dinner together. The PASIFIC Project Coordinator Professor Paweł Rowiński congratulated Fellows on their selection and gave them his best wishes for their upcoming research journeys.

The meeting provided Fellows with an opportunity to catch up with one another, share knowledge, experiences and make meaningful connections. It was great to see so many people from a range of backgrounds and different stages of their career. Thank you to all who attended and made our second networking event especially memorable and successful.
