On 21st June 2022 the Polish Academy of Sciences hosted a networking event to connect and welcome new PASIFIC Fellows and their families. The researchers who participated in the event had been selected for the PASIFIC Fellowship Programme in the first call for applications.
Coming from different academic disciplines, professional backgrounds and countries across the globe, the Fellows have come together to launch their original research projects as part of the PASIFIC Programme. These projects will be carried out at institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The one-day event took place in the Jablonna Palace. The new cohort of PASIFIC Fellows and their families were joined for a day of networking by the Excellence in Science Department, whose members manage all aspects of the PASIFIC project, as well as representatives from the Communications Department.
The event opened with speeches from the PASIFIC Project Coordinator, Professor Paweł Rowiński, who welcomed the newly inducted Fellows and wished them an enjoyable time, and Katarzyna Książczyk from the Excellence in Science Department, who introduced the participants to the extracurricular services offered by the Programme.
Throughout the event, the participants got to know each other better while enjoying some networking and problem-solving activities. They also got a chance to learn more about Poland and become acquainted with famous ceramics from Boleslawiec during a pottery workshop.
