The Second Advisory Board Meeting

As the opening of the first call of the PASIFIC Programme is approaching, the intensive work on the project is underway. To discuss the progress of preparations related to launching the recruitment process, we met with the excellent scientists representing various disciplines and prestigious academic institutions.

The second PASIFIC Advisory Board Meeting was held (online) on October 13, 2020. It was attended by:

  • Prof. Michael Giersig (Free University of Berlin), Prof. Michał Misiurewicz (Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis), Prof. Jerzy Paszkowski (University of Cambridge), Prof. Barbara Romanowicz(University of California, Berkeley), Prof. Oliver Jens Schmitt (Austrian Academy of Sciences, University of Vienna),
  • Prof. Paweł Rowiński, the Vice-President of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Project Coordinator,
  • Representatives of the Excellence in Science Department.

The participants discussed the Advisory Board’s recommendations given during the first meeting as well as the current state of preparations and upcoming activities related to the project. The discussion tackled issues such as setting up the IT system, preparing the set of regulations, developing promotional strategies, and identifying ethics evaluators.
