The new Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences!

We are happy to announce that the PASIFIC Programme was joined by the 70th Host Institute – The International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines.

The institute was established on the 14th of December 2020 by Professor Jerzy Duszyński, the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Its aim is to conduct and disseminate scientific research and research in biology, chemistry, medicine, biotechnology, and pharmacology. The director of the newly established institute is Professor Agnieszka Chacińska.

The International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines was established thanks to the agreement between the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Medical University of Göttingen as well as the agreement between the Polish Academy of Sciences and the University of Warsaw, concluded earlier this year. The institute will continue the project “Regenerative Mechanisms for Health” (ReMedy) within the program “International Research Agendas” funded by Foundation for Polish Science (FNP). So far, the ReMedy project was carried out at the University of Warsaw.
